25 June, Sumy: A regional gender resource centre has opened in Sumy with the support from Equal Opportunities and Women’s Rights Programme (a joint project of UNDP, SIDA and European Union). The centre opened at the Sumy State University.

19 June, Lugansk: With assistance and participation of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Lugansk Regional State Administration, Fortis Bank and "Nadra Luganshchyny" Ltd., have signed a new carbon finance Agreement to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. This new project is the first Joint Implementation project under the Kyoto Protocol in Ukraine, the fourth Millennium Development Goals Carbon Facility project globally and the second in Eastern Europe and CIS, adding to the MDGs Carbon Facility's growing and diversified portfolio of international projects.

17 June, Poltava: UNDP, Poltava State Regional Administration and Poltava Regional Council have signed the Memorandum of Understanding. This document regulates further cooperation, joint activities and events aimed at reaching equal rights and opportunities for women and men.

16 June, Kyiv: The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has conducted the first meeting of its gender expert working group. Together with the UNDP experts, the group’s members discussed the Plan of actions for the development and implementation of gender policy in the Ministry's activities. By the end of the year, the Plan of actions should be completed.

16-17 June, Kyiv: HIV prevention among uniformed services in Ukraine should be considered as part of formation of healthy life stated the participants in the project's closing Conference organized by the joint EU-UNDP-UNFPA Project "HIV/STI Prevention Among Uniformed Services in Ukraine".

Kyiv, 6 June: "1+1" Television News and the UN Development Programme in Ukraine have marked the World Environment Day by launching a social initiative "Clean Country". As a result, TV news correspondents together with UN officers and activists from an ecological charity "Green Dossier" cleaned out rubbish in a number of the country's most popular national parks. "1+1" TV and UNDP invited all those who were interested to join in and help us make Ukraine a cleaner country!

Kirovske, Artemivsk (Donetsk Region) 4-5 June: Around 20 local councillors from Western Ukraine cities have visited Kirovske and Artemivsk municipalities during the East-West exchange visit organised by UNDP-led "Municipal Governance and Sustainable Development Programme" with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The mayors and local councillors learned the experience of Kirovske in establishing Federation of Condominiums, local policies for establishing the effective owner of residential property and examples of corporate social responsibility at the local level

Prague - Kyiv, 25-30 May: A Ukrainian Government delegation, representing the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, has visited Czech Republic on a study tour to learn the Czech Republic's experience in EU Social Inclusion Policy implementation.

Simferopol, Crimea, 29 May: Four schools in three Crimean districts have celebrated the end of the school year, International Children's Day and completion of the projects, implemented by local communities in these schools. The projects were aimed at improving the study and leisure conditions for children, and were implemented by parents, school administration and local authorities, with methodological and financial support of UNDP Crimea Integration and Development Programme.
